Constant Learning

Kids 7-17

At our hub, children are empowered to take the reins of their own education, guided by their interests, passions, and innate curiosity. Whether it's unraveling the mysteries of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, delving into the secrets of the Nile River, or immersing themselves in the vibrant culture of Egypt, every aspect of their learning journey is driven by their own desires and ambitions.

In this dynamic environment, children have the freedom to explore a diverse range of subjects and disciplines, from history and archaeology to art, music, and beyond. They learn not only from textbooks and lectures but also from hands-on experiences, interactions with local experts, and immersive cultural exchanges.

To thrive in this child-led learning environment, children need a few essential ingredients:

1. Curiosity and Open-mindedness: Encouraging children to ask questions, explore new ideas, and embrace different perspectives is crucial for fostering a culture of inquiry and discovery.

2. Autonomy and Independence: Empowering children to make their own decisions, set their own goals, and manage their time effectively cultivates a sense of responsibility and ownership over their learning journey.

3. Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility is key in a child-led learning environment, where schedules and activities may vary based on individual interests and pursuits. Children learn to adapt to new situations, navigate challenges, and seize opportunities as they arise.

4. Supportive Community: A strong sense of community and collaboration fosters mutual respect, empathy, and peer learning. Children thrive in an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and valued by their peers and mentors.

5. Access to Resources and Mentors: Providing access to a wide range of resources, including books, technology, and hands-on materials, as well as opportunities to connect with knowledgeable mentors and experts, enriches children's learning experiences and expands their horizons.

Children below 7

At the World Schooling Kindergarten in Luxor, Egypt, we believe that every child is a capable and curious learner with the potential to shape their own educational journey. By providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive, we empower them to become lifelong learners and global citizens ready to make their mark on the world.
In order to fully embrace child-led learning, our young scholars will need:

1. A Sense of Adventure: Encouraging children to explore and discover the world around them is at the heart of our philosophy. Whether it's investigating the mysteries of ancient Egyptian history or observing the flora and fauna of the Nile River, a spirit of adventure is essential.

2. Curiosity: Curiosity is the fuel that drives learning. We cultivate an environment where questions are encouraged, and children are empowered to seek answers through hands-on experiences and investigations.

3. Creativity: From crafting clay sculptures inspired by Egyptian art to composing their own stories inspired by ancient myths, creativity is woven into every aspect of our curriculum. Children are encouraged to express themselves freely and explore their imaginations.

4. Flexibility: In a child-led learning environment, flexibility is key. Our curriculum is responsive to the interests and needs of each child, allowing for personalized learning experiences tailored to their unique strengths and abilities.

5. Community: Collaboration and communication are fundamental skills that children will develop as they engage in child-led learning. Through group projects, cooperative play, and community outings, children learn the value of working together and supporting one another.

Additional Needs

At our hub we are ready to embrace children of all abilities, including those with additional accessibility needs. For these children, the journey towards holistic education is tailored to their unique strengths and challenges, fostering an environment where every individual can thrive.

In order to fully experience child-led learning at the World Schooling Hub, children with additional needs will require personalized support and accommodations. This begins with understanding each child's specific needs, whether they relate to physical accessibility, sensory processing, communication, or learning styles.

Our hub facility is being built wheelchair accessible. It will host a wheelchair accessible bathroom and a person using a wheelchair will be able to access all parts of the infrastructure.

Understanding and ccommodating additional needs is a learning process for us. We cannot offer the full range of care at the hub, as much as we would love to. Our aim is to be able to offer one or two children at the time who are using wheelchairs, to come to this marvelous place and experience the community and all the learning we can provide.

Each child's accessibility situation will have to be assessed and together with the parents or caregivers we will decide whether we can or cannot accommodate the family.
